Kaizer Chiefs will look to continue their unbeaten run in the Absa Premiership when they host Cape Town City at FNB Stadium on 17 February 2018, kick-off at 20h15.

Chiefs extended their unbeaten streak in the league to seven matches with a 1-1 draw away to Bidvest Wits on February 3. The Soweto side has claimed 15 points from a possible 21 and conceded just three goals in the sequence.

The Amakhosi have claimed just 11 points from nine home matches this season, with their last game as hosts a goalless stalemate with log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of last month. 

City have won just one of their last four matches and suffered their seventh loss of the season when they were beaten 1-0 at home by Mamelodi Sundowns on February 2. The Cape Town side has picked up just four points from a possible 12 in the sequence.

The Citizens have claimed 15 points from 10 away matches this season, and their last two games on the road have produced a 1-0 loss to Free State Stars and a 1-1 draw with Bloemfontein Celtic.

In head-to-head stats, Chiefs and City have met in three league matches since the start of last season. The trio of games has produced one win apiece and one draw. The teams’ clash earlier this season saw the Amakhosi claim a 2-0 win in Cape Town back in September 2017.
